Preparing to move out of the country takes a lot of work and a lot of money!
I am working an internship with John Deere this summer and it has been an incredible blessing in providing financially to help me prepare for Guatemala. The time this summer has been a definite Godsend to allow me to prepare. I just got a new contact prescription the other day, a new computer arrived yesterday (my macbook finally died on me) I need to get a dentist appointment soon, and there is a myriad of other things I need to purchase, ship home, or sell before August!
I've also been planning what I will be doing once I actually move to Guate. It is looking like a lot of exciting work to do! In summary, I will be continuing work on the front rigging assembly to work out some kinks in our designs. I will also be working on the production fixtures for the new parts we have designed. As part of a new project I am going to be working to design a new width for the Kidchair to accommodate more precise fitting for the children. I know God has a lot of great plans for the engineering development for Hope Haven!
Thank you all for your prayers and support!
Vaya con Dios!

Answered Prayer and an Airplane Ticket
God is so GOOD!!
Ok, so one of the main reasons I couldn't route money through Hope Haven International was because of the high taxes involved. Well, apparently that tax just got lowered to only a 5% tax! So we can now route money through Hope Haven!! Praise the Lord! This is definitely an answer to prayer!
So! How do you do it? This link will take you to Hope Haven International's donations site. There, fill out your personal information at the top and then under the second step, "Donation Allocation," select "Other". Then in the "If Other" box write, "Esperanza Engineering" or just my name... Then go ahead and continue the transaction! If you donate through this method please let me know right away. I have to contact Hope Haven as well to make sure the funding is recognized as for me.
Thank you all so much for your support! It's really exciting as I'm preparing to leave!
Oh, and I just bought a one way ticket to Guatemala. August 25th!! Yikes! I'm a little stunned right now! I gotta learn Spanish!
